Why are my betta fish’s lips locked??? – male and female fighter fish strange interaction!!
I just put them together to try and breed them and pretty much straight away they seemed quite friendly and playful towards one another and swim quite close together, they also seem to be nipping the others fins and for majority of the time they are joined lip to lip usually at the bottom of the tank – doesn’t seem like either are struggling to escape. Once they are done with this weird interaction they go to the top of the tank for a breathe, and then befin the whole thing again. Currently they are joined by their lips – the male is upsidedown and they they are moving around gracefully as this happens….. WTF— Can someone explain what is happening? Should I worry ?
