Well, I have hermit crabs and freshwater tropical fish. I have a dish of saltwater in the corner of the 10 gallon tank. I always use salt that is labled hermit crab salt for my hermit crabs. For my fish I use salt that’s labeled aqurium salt. Is there a difference? Can I use the salt I use for my fish instead of the salt I normaly use for my hermit crabs?

One more question – Do hermit crabs need a light bulb over there tank?
Another question – First I meant I had hermit crabs, I don’t currently have them. But I just realized I don’t have room for any more pets in my room, but one place and I’m not sure if it’s good for them. I have a loft bed, so my bed and the desk under it shakes when I climb up the ladder and when I climb down it. It would only shake 2 times a day so would it be good if they were to sit on my desk when I got more?

The other day I woke up to find a ton of fry (I think its from the Danios) in my 10 gallon fish tank (1 zebra danio, 2 glofish, 1 black molly, 1 dalmation molly, 1 red wag, and 1 tetra). By the time I separated the fry and got them into a breeding net, there were about 12 remaining fry. The fry are about 4 days old and it is time I find a more long term solution because they cant stay in the breeding net/10 gallon tank. From what I have heard, I have a few options:
1) I can let nature take its course and allow the big fish to eat the fry (I would rather not do this)
2) I can find a friend to take the fish (I have asked around but most people either don’t want fish or cant put any more fish in their tanks)
3) I can buy another tank just for the fry. I am leaning towards this option but I don’t really want to invest to much more money or time into my fish hobby. If I were to get another tropical breeding tank, what should I get? I would prefer a tank under 10 gallons if possible (I would be willing to sacrifice a few of the fish so they would fit). Can someone please post links to products (Tank, Heater, Filter,…) on online stores? Remember I don’t want to spend too much time or money on this. Thanks!

What are some of the "prettiest" or "unique" tropical freshwater fish? I want somthing kind of like a clown fish or yellow tang, but they’re saltwater fish.
